On-Site Training
Build more powerful and accurate forecasting models to better
analyze financial data and predict revenues and expenses. This
customized two day hands-on workshop will give you the tools for
developing effective financial forecasts and budgets using the powerful
capabilities of financial models. You will learn the new features of
Excel 2007®.
The instruction may include the actual development of a Five Year
Budget Model for your institution. Much of the model may be developed
over the 2 days of training. Prior to the training the institution
should provide revenue and expense data to build into the model. This
will provide you with a quick and cost effective way to create a Five
Year Budget Model and sharpen your modeling skills.
With the purchase of the Five Year Budget Model five hours of
consulting time is included to create the Department Detail worksheet,
Expense Assumptions worksheet, and the Object and Department Pivot
Tables. We would like to have the institutions expense data available
prior to the workshop in order to start building the model. It would be
advantageous to have actual data built into the model for the on-site
training. In addition to the expense data, it would be most helpful to
review the revenue budget data, admission, enrollment and financial aid
data prior to the visit.
In order to complete the model additional tasks needed to be
identified. Examples of these additional tasks are: building extra
worksheets, creating additional institutional related models, linking
worksheets, creating reports, building pivot tables, preparing
reconciliation procedures, validating data, developing user forms,
creating print routines, developing up-load and down-load procedures.
During the workshop we will identify many of these tasks and work
towards getting as much of the model competed as possible within the 2
day visit. Before the end of the training we will identity what task
are needed to complete the model.
The cost of a two day, on-site workshop is $3,800 for the first five
participants. Each additional participant is $495. All participants
will be provided a workbook and sample models. Your institution
